Pig in a Pen
I / / / | / / IV / | / / I / | I V I / |

I got a pig home in a pen
corn to feed him on.
All I need is a pretty little girl
to feed him when I'm gone.

Baking biscuits darling,
bake them good and brown,
and when you get those biscuits baked
I'm Alabama bound.

Dark clouds rising, sure sign of rain.
Get your old gray bonnet on,
sweet little Liza Jane.

Going up on a mountain
to sow a little cane.
Raise a barrel of sorghum,
sweet little Liza Jane.

Yonder comes that gal of mine,
how do I know?
Tell by that gingham gown
hanging down so low.

When she sees me comin',
she wrings her hands and cries
Yonder comes the sweetest boy
that ever lived or died

Now when she sees me leavin',
she wrings her hands and cries
Yonder goes the meanest boy
that ever lived or died
