Over the River and Through the Woods
I / / / | IV / I / | IV / I /| II / V / |

Over the river and through the woods
to grandmother's house we go.
The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh
through white and drifting sno-ow

Over the river and through the woods
oh how the wind doth blow
It stings the nose, it bites the toes
as over the hills we go

Over the river and through the woods
and through the barnyard gate.
It seems we go extremely slow
I can hardly wait.

Over the river and through the woods
then grandmother's cap I spy.
Hooray for the fun.  Is the pudding done?
Hooray for the pumpkin pie.
