I don't need no one to tell me what to eat.
I happen to like the texture of my chemical meat.
So don't try to give (don't try to give me)
those herbivore blues (those herbivore blues)
'cause I eat meat, but I eat vegetables, too.
I eat everything I can fit on my plate
but my favorite of all is a pesticide steak
and I know I won't get (I know I won't get)
those herbivore blues (those herbivore blues)
'cause they put pesticides on artichokes, too.
An egg in the morning is just what I need
even if its momma was high on speed
but I ain't gonna get (I ain't gonna get)
those herbivore blues (those herbivore blues)
'cause they speed-ripen fruit and I heard that on the news.
Pure gelatin I heard it ain't allowed.
There ain't nothing bad except for bones from a cow
and I ain't gonna get (I ain't gonna get)
those herbivore blues (those herbivore blues)
'cause without dead cows I wouldn't have no leather shoes.
Some people say animals shouldn't be killed.
They say plant gardens and eat your fill
but they won't give me (they won't give me)
those herbivore blues (those herbivore blues)
just because they can't move don't mean that plants aren't conscious,
too.
